School Days Again

Before I add more to the Summer experiences, I want to write about the first week back with students.  After a week of meetings and required tech training which was often frustrating because it wasn't high priority for most of us, but it was mandatory, classes began 5 days ago.

What a difference a year and familiarity makes.  It was so great to see familiar student faces and, as I posted on facebook, there was a lot of hugs and double-cheeked kisses and "I miss you's"  (My friend Nancy M.  relied on fb, "Here, you'd get arrested. "  Yes, it's different here.  The kids are quite affectionate.)  Here (above)  are some of the new kids on my block.
